Mecum Kissimmee 2025
Mecum Auctions wrapped 13 days of high octane selling as they kicked off the 2025 classic car auction season at the Osceola Center in Kissimmee, FL. Ten (10) vehicles sold for over $1 million, led by a 1966 Ford GT40 road car with a price tag of $7,040,000.
The pre-auction main attraction, a 1969 Porsche 917K, had the house rocking when the final bid reached $25,000,000, but it didn’t meet the reserve price. Although it was disappointing that the hammer didn’t fall with a resounding ‘Sold,” this is, after all, a true auction where every vehicle is offered for sale with the outcome unscripted and unpredictable.
Still, there was plenty of excitement with other cars including the one and only “Shaguar’” from the Austin Power’s spy comedy movies. Also, there was a stellar collection of historic Indy race cars, a room full of Ford halo vehicles, and loads of muscle cars and European exotics.
