The Jaguar Driven by Mike Myers of the Austin Powers Movies
at Mecum Kissimmee 2025
Typically, duplicate cars are used during filming major motion pictures, but this is the only 1967 Jaguar E-Type driven by Mike Myers in all three of his Austin Powers movies. It has been part of a private collection since filming ended, occasionally being loaned out to Jaguar Land Rover for corporate events.
It was fully restored by Jaguar Land Rover in the mid-2000s and recently it underwent a mechanical restoration as well. However, it still retains original parts, including the AM/FM radio and the various buttons and switches on the dashboard used by Austin Powers to carry out his not-so-secret spy missions.
Although nicely-restored E-Types of this same vintage typically sell in the range of $150K to $200K, this Jag, painted with the distinctive British Union Jack, created an extended bidding war between multiple buyers. Although it was far from the highest priced car sold at the event, the sale provided a show-stopping moment with a final price tag of $880,000. Yeah baby, that’s how it done!
