What makes collector car auctions so much fun and interesting is that they provide the opportunity to see vehicles that are typically hidden away in private collections or behind the walls of a museum. And there’s always the chance a one-off creation might end up on the auction block. Collector car auctions are somewhat like treasure hunts – the participant never knows what automotive gem they might find. Here are some of the odd, unique, rare, and even strange vehicles that we saw at Mecum Kissimmee 2025.

1930 Ruxton Model C Roadster

The Ruxton Motor Company, which was only in existence for less than a year, built high-end luxury cars with front-wheel drives. Less than 100 cars were ever produced, and only a handful like this rare Model C Roadster still exist today.

1939 Ford Custom COE Delivery

This one-off custom started with a 1939 Ford COE cab and a hand-fabricated rear delivery van section. A big block motor was installed, resulting in this iconic drink hauler – the “Un Cola.”

1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Presidential Limousine

This is one of three fully armored limousines built for President Clinton. The bulletproof door glass is 3 inches thick and the 454 CI engine was hand built by Jack Roush.

1932 Ford Custom Pickup

This custom-built show truck, knows as the “Miller Hauler Special,” was completed in 2010 and made the cover of Hot Rod magazine in the same year.  The level of unique items in this Build is off the charts, and it even features an Indy-inspired Miller 4-cylinder race engine.  It was originally owned by George Poteet who collaborated in its creation.

2016 PBC Neutron

This electric dual hubless wheel motorcycle had everyone at the auction taking a double look. It isn’t an optical illusion but a limited-production Tron Lightcycle replica that is a drivable movie prop.
