Wes Rydell Wins 2021 Goodguys Street Rod of the Year With His 1941 Chevy Fleetline

Wes Rydell added another high-profile trophy to his collection by winning the 2021 Goodguys Street Rod of the Year award. As a previous recipient of a Ridler and an AMBR award, he knows what it takes to create a show-stopping custom build. For his latest project he teamed up with Rad Rides by Troy who has a track record for producing some of the finest show cars in the hobby. Starting with one of the last pre-war Chevys, Troy’s shop turned a 1941 utilitarian 4-door sedan into a 2-door work of art. In the video below, Wes was kind enough to tell about his vision that started the work, many of the modifications that were made, and what his plans are with this car after completing the show circuit. Hint, it won’t be a trailer queen for long.
