Triple Crown of Rodding 2025 at Nashville Superspeedway
The third annual Triple Crown of Rodding was held September 5th and 6th at the Nashville Superspeedway. Founded by Bobby Alloway of Alloway’s Hot Rod Shop and Gary Case, this two-day event has already become one of the must-go-to car shows of the year.
This year more than 2000 vehicles registered for this event, with many of those competing for the Triple Crown’s top awards: the “Top 30,” the “Elite 10,” and then ultimately the top three cars and the top three trucks. There were also 14 Celebrity Pick Award winners.
This two-day celebration of the hot rods, custom cars, and trucks showcased some of the best Builds in the industry. Besides celebrating hot rods, customs, classics, and muscle cars through 1972, and American-made trucks through 1998, a major highlight of this year’s event was a concert on Saturday afternoon at the Superspeedway by Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band.
Whether you’re a builder, a competitor, or a spectator, the Triple Crown of Rodding was definitely the place to be. So, if you missed it this year, be sure to put it on your bucket list for 2026. The top six awards of the show were:
- Street Rod of the Year – 1936 Ford Roadster, Owner: Ross Myers of Perkiomenville, PA
- Street Machine of the Year – 1970 Challenger, Owner: Steve Nettleingham of Arcadia, OK
- Street Cruiser of the Year – 1960 Cadillac, Owner: Mark Fuqua of Bowling Green, KY
- Truck of the Year (1972 and Earlier) – 1955 Chevy Cameo, Owner: Curt Wittman of Ottawa, KS
- Truck of the Year (1973-1987) – 1975 Chevy C10, Owner: Frank Walsh of Lake Havasu, AZ
- Truck of the Year (1988-1998) – 1995 Chevy 1500, Owner: Brian Wojcik of Knoxville, TN

Gary Sinise and The Lt. Dan Band
For over twenty years, Gary Sinise and the Lt Dan Band have been uplifting our nation’s heroes at home, overseas, and even in combat zones. Gary, who founded the Gary Sinise Foundation, brought his band to the Triple Crown of Rodding show and announced that this was the 600th concert performed by his group. Proceeds from the Rodding show benefit Gary’s foundation.
1932 Ford Three-Window Coupe (Bugatti Style)
Since Ford Deuce Coupes have always been favorite starting points for hot rodders, you’d think every possible customizing approach has been tried. However, Ellis Simmons of Iron Hill Hot Rods put an entirely new twist on this iconic rebel coupe. He started with a 4-cylinder Mercury marine motor and converted it to a water-cooled automotive engine. He then added a vintage Bentley-styled crank-powered blower and wrapped the powertrain in ‘30s-era Bugatti-inspired coachwork. After six years in the making, his work paid off. He won multiple awards at the 2025 Grand National Roadster show, and at this year’s Triple Crown of Rodding he placed in the ‘Top 30’ and was the Chip Foose Celebrity Pick.
