Amelia Island Auction Week 2023: RM Sotheby’s, Gooding & Company, Bonhams, and Broad Arrow
March, 2023

During the week leading up to the Big Show (Amelia Island Concours), almost 600 classic cars were offered for sale by four of the top auction companies in the country: Bonhams, Gooding & Company, RM Sotheby’s, and Broad Arrow. With classics such as the first-ever AAR Gurney Eagle, a highly-prized 1962 Ferrari 250 GT California Spider, a 1954 Buick Skylark, a 1931 Duesenberg, and a 1967 Corvette 427/434, there was definitely something for everybody.
All of the auction companies had million-dollar car sales, but Gooding and Company had an automobile that surpassed all other sales by far. The 1962 Ferrari 250 GT California Spider was the top sale of week, bringing in an astounding $18 million, and setting a new record for a car sold during Amelia Island’s Concours Week.
Here are some of the star cars that crossed the auction blocks.
