Restaurants to Try First on Sanibel-Captiva Islands

Sanibel-Captiva

White sandy beaches, lots of palm trees, and warm ocean breezes understandably make Sanibel and its sister island, Captiva, popular vacation spots for beachgoers of all ages. Located off the gulf coast of central Florida, near Fort Myers, these islands bring vacationers from across the United States, as well as internationally, to fish, kayak, bike, and enjoy some of the best shelling in the country.

But, of course, what’s a vacation without good food, so we decided to help you answer that all-important question: “Where should I go to eat?” We began by talking to the “locals,” and then we did some research of our own. Here is a list of restaurants that we recommend you try first. I know we’ve only scratched the surface, so if you have some favorites, we’d love to hear from you. Then, we can try them on our next trip to Sanibel and Captiva.
