Raleigh Classic Spring 2022
GM big-block muscle cars headlined the annual spring Raleigh Classic auction held at the Capital Auto Auction facility in Youngstown, NC. Like most of the vehicles on the docket, these cars were distinctly original, limited production cars, many of which were rare convertible models. It’s very unlikely that 7 Buick GS Stage 1’s and multiple Olds 442 W30 drop-tops would be offered at one auction, but here they were, along with other high-performance GM-powered cars. What a treat for muscle car junkies!
Besides the collection of muscle cars, there were also many other original, low-mileage vehicles, as has become expected at Raleigh Classic auctions. Other standouts of the sale were an impressive selection of Woodys and a group of unique, highly collectible historical cars. Here are some of the highlights from this 300-vehicle two-day sale.
