British Invasion in Pinehurst Village


On the eve of the Pinehurst Concours d'Elegance, the Brits invaded the Village of Pinehurst. They brought their Jaguars, Morgans, MGs, Aston Martins, Austin-Healeys, and Triumphs. Even a few Bentleys rolled into this idyllic community. For entertainment, the Beatles (aka, the 'Let it Be' band) performed on the Village Green. The concert was free to the public.

This was a made-to-order evening, mild temperatures -- not too cold, not to warm, and a perfect prelude of what was to come. On Sunday, the Pinehurst clubhouse show field will be chock-full of rare and colorful classics. But, tonight the British came to strut their stuff. Here are just a few of the highlights.
