2016 Carlisle Winter AutoFest

February, 2016 -- The outdoor classic car season is off and running, as demonstrated by the crowds of car enthusiasts that converged on the SUN 'n FUN faciltity for the inaugural Winter AutoFest in Lakeland, FL.   Continuing its tradition of hosting shows that capture the excitement and passion of car fans of all ages, Carlisle Events did it again with this four-day festival of cars.  Located next door to an operating airport, not only was there a manufacturer's midway, swap meet, car corral, car show, and car auction (where more than 400 cars were for sale), but attendees had an opportunity to check out vintage aircraft on display and to watch as planes took off and landed nearby.   Also, Tom Wopat, of "Dukes of Hazard" and Butch Patrick, aka Eddie Munster, were onsite to meet fans and sign autographs.   Here are some of the highlights from this fun-filled weekend.
