The Bachman Collection, which consisted of 46 pristine Ferraris, was a major contributor to the overall success of the auction. These Ferraris, which were offered at no reserve on Saturday, brought in $125,000,000.
But perhaps the Kissimmee 2026 auction will be best remembered for the show-stopping sale of one of the most coveted collector cars on the planet, a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO. Deservedly promoted as the main attraction, bidding for this rare Italian race car started at $25,000,000 and climbed to a hammer price of $35,000,000.

Mecum’s event also highlighted many blue-chip collectibles, including a standout group of Yenko Camaros from the Cliff Ernst Collection, high-end show cars, including several by Kindig-it Design, a 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible, a 1966 Ford GT40 Mk II Lightweight, a 1965 Cobra Factory Stage III Dragon Snake, and a 1967 Corvette L88, just to name a few.

It’s rare when one of these highly coveted thoroughbreds comes to market, being 1 of only 36 built.
For many in the hobby, it is prized as one of the most desirable car in any collection. Referred to as the “Bianco Speciale,” this Ferrari is a surviving example of a true race car that was “Maintained, Repaired, Refinished but not Restored.”
Bidding started at $25,000,000 and climbed to $35,000,000 before the hammer fell. The final selling price with sales commission was $38,500,000.
