The Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance, which was held at the Port Royal Golf Club, celebrated its 20th year showcasing an impressive group of elegant and historically significant automobiles. This year, almost 200 examples of rolling art graced the 1st and 18th fairways, providing that perfect photo opportunity for vintage car enthusiasts. Known for its southern hospitality, relaxed environment, and beautiful surroundings, the Concours has become one of the most anticipated events on the Island. Here’s a look at the highlights of this special day in the Low Country.

Best in Show

This year’s Best in Show winner, 1937 Horch 853A Special Roadster, represents the pinnacle of German auto design in the late ‘30s. Only a handful of these ultra-high-end models were built and owned by the top German government officials of the day. Their only contemporaries were the slightly more common Mercedes-Benz 540K Sport Roadsters. Although the Horch company did not survive the War Years, it was merged into the present day Audi company, and is represented by one of the four rings in the Audi logo.
