It was another classic car extravaganza at the 2026 Winter GAA Classic Cars held at “The Palace” in February. This three-day auction always showcases an impressive lineup of sport cars, muscle cars, boulevard cruisers, and classic trucks. With the strong attendance each day at the event and frequent in-house, phone, and internet bidding, there’s no doubt the word is out that this is an auction not to miss.

Here’s a look at the automobiles that make this one of the most rapidly growing auction houses in the country.

Muscle Cars

As the above leaderboard shows, the auction offered a stellar selection of blue-chip muscle cars. Although the price of restomods continue to climb, it’s obvious classic car enthusiasts still value original factory-equipped high-horsepower engine cars from back-in-the-day.  One such car is the Yenko.

Along with Bosses, Trans Ams, and various Hemis, Don Yenko Chevrolet gave bow tie fans the opportunity to buy a 427 cid Camaro, something that normally was not available from the factory.   Earlier this year at Mecum’s Kissimmee auction, the Cliff Ernst Collection of six original Yenkos set record prices for these super-fast Camaros, and at this auction another Yenko became the second highest sale for the event, confirming the sudden collector interest in these “big block pony cars.”

Here’s another look at the Hugger Orange Yenko sale and more real-deal muscle cars that crossed the auction block.

More Auction Action

The headline attraction for the auction was a 2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4. There was a lot of anticipation of how much this hypercar would bring, and although it didn’t ultimately reach the reserve price, it was exciting too watch the bidding climb to $2 million.

Other high interest cars on the auction block were a Batmobile (reproduction) and one of the Ferraris driven by Tom Selleck on the ‘80s Magnum PI TV series.

Here are these star cars and more from the three-day event.
