Carlisle Spring 2018
Spring Carlisle, now in its 42nd year, kicked off the Car Show and Swap Meet season at the Carlisle, PA Fairgrounds today. Thousands of car enthusiasts from across the country make their way to this five-day event, which included a huge swap meet, a car corral, and a 3-day collector car auction. This is the place to find car parts, project cars, and ready-to-drive restored classics. After a long winter that didn’t seem to end, everyone at the Carlisle Fairgrounds was enjoying the beginning of spring, and their passion for all things automotive.

Over 500 vehicles were offered for sale during the three day sale. Featured cars crossed the auction block on Thursday and Friday with each of these days holding a special hour of “All Chevys” and “All Fords.” The top sale of the weekend was a 1969 Shelby Mustang GT350 convertible, which sold for $103,000. Carlisle Auction reported that this was one of their most successful events to date with total sales of $5.7 million. Here is a sample of the classics that were on the docket.
