Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance 2024

The 29th Amelia Concours d’Elegance (now known as “The Amelia”) was held on Sunday, March 3, at the Golf Club of Amelia Island. Here, more than 275 historically significant vehicles competed for various awards – 35 class awards and numerous special awards.

This year’s show was a challenge to execute after a partly sunny morning evolved into a heavy rain shower at noon. After 2 inches of liquid sunshine, the show continued in the mid-afternoon.  However, because of the soft field, it was necessary for class award winners to walk to the award stage to receive their trophies and plaques.  Fortunately, the field dried enough later in the day so that Best in Show winners could drive their cars to the award stand for a grand closing to the 2024 Concours.

The Amelia is unique, in that it has two Best in Show recipients, one for the most elegant car on the field (Concours d’Elegance) and one for the best race car on the field (Concours de Sport).  Here are the Best in Show winners, selected Class winners, and additional sights and sounds of the day.
