This show car was built in the late ‘70s and subsequently purchased by the current owner in 1982.  Since that time, it has been driven sparingly to local car shows and was a prized attraction in festival parades. It has always been garaged stored, and the metal-flake candy apple red paint is still fresh looking as it was the day it first made an appearance over 40 years ago.  The interior is heavily customized as well, featuring silver-colored leather seats and door side panels, which remain in excellent condition.

This Corvette is a virtual time-capsule of high-end customizing in the late ‘70s.  The current owner has not changed any of the unique items on this car while in his possession.  However, from a drivability standpoint, a new carburetor, brakes, and battery have been recently installed.  Check out the accompanying video to see that the car starts and idles smoothly.

What are the chances a car in this original customized condition would still exist today? Even small details like the Cragar S/S wheels and raised white letter tires make this build extra special.  In the case of the tires, it may be impossible to find a set that include the …T/A 50  in the script. As the saying goes, “cars are only original once,” but in this case, show cars are only original once.

This car has factory air conditioning, but it is not currently operable.  Otherwise, it is fully roadworthy and only needs some TLC detailing to make it ready to return to the show scene.
