1966 Nova SS L79 (350 HP)
Original Owners: Barney, Barbara, and son Barry Yaskiewicz
Not many people can say they are the original owners of their classic cars, but the Yaskiewiczs can make this claim about their beautiful Marina Blue Nova SS. It has the original Bowtie documentation, including the window sticker and a recall GM notice to replace the engine mounts – necessary because this factory L79 327/350HP Corvette-inspired engine was a lot for the Nova to handle. As you can see, a 2 ½-year restoration effort, spearheaded by son Barry, with guidance from L79 guru, Tom Migut, resulted in a true original time capsule. It’s obvious from the below video that the Yaskiewiczs have a lifetime of memories in this car. Listen as they tell us about how Barney convinced Barbara he needed to install headers BITD, and find out who tattled on 16-year-old Barry for racing the Nova.
