100 Years Of Maserati Slideshow
In 1914, another famous automaker was just getting started. Carlo Maserati, the Italian company’s founder, was joined by several of his brothers in an enterprise devoted to producing some of the best race cars of their day. The Maserati certainly lived up to the company’s motto, “The opposite of the ordinary,” since it won numerous European races, back-to-back Indianapolis Brickyards in 1939 and 1940, and the 1957 Formula One World Championship title.
